Current crew members alongside future storm chasers at the WDBJ-7 WeatherFest on Friday. Wow, what an incredible turnout as the Virginia Tech meteorology students explained everything about severe storms to hundreds of k-12 students throughout the day. -Dave

You all were great today. Thank you all so much for taking your time to teach my children and to take a photo with them. You were very kind and professional at the same time. Maybe we will all see you guys out in the plains one day while chasing storms!!!! Be safe!
Thanks for the kind words Shannon. You can actually track us online during our time in the plains each year on this blog site, and also our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/hokiestormchasers. We have another Facebook page where a pretty constant weather dialog takes place, with a bit of “weather education” thrown in from time to time: http://www.facebook.com/VirginiaTechMeteorology …please feel free to join in the discussion anytime! Enjoyed meeting you all. -Dave Carroll, the storm chase ring-leader.
